Terms of Service

Last updated: 2 November 2026

TZ Converter is free, open-source software, provided as-is. By installing the extension or using this website, you agree to these terms. There is no account to create and no fee to pay.

The service

TZ Converter is a browser extension and companion website that convert times between timezones. All parsing and conversion runs locally in your browser. We do not operate a backend service, store your data, or require you to register.

Acceptable use

You agree to use TZ Converter lawfully. In particular, you agree not to:

• Use it for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the website or its hosting.
• Misrepresent the software as your own or distribute modified versions in a way that violates its license.

License and intellectual property

TZ Converter is open source. The source code is published at github.com/maskeynihal/tz-extension and is licensed under the terms stated in that repository. You are free to use, study, modify, and share it in accordance with that license. The "TZ Converter" name and icon identify the project and should not be used in a way that implies endorsement of a different product.

No warranty

The software and website are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that time conversions will be accurate, error-free, or suitable for any particular use. Always verify time-critical information independently.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the author shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, TZ Converter — including, without limitation, any reliance on a time or timezone it displays.

Third-party stores

The extension is distributed through the Chrome Web Store and Firefox Add-ons. Your installation and use through those stores are also subject to the respective store's own terms. We are not responsible for those platforms.

Changes

These terms may change over time. The current version is always posted here with its date. Continuing to use TZ Converter after a change means you accept the updated terms.
